UX Portfolio - Choose Restaurants

Client Overview

Choose Restaurants is a site that was created by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Its goal is to enhance the restaurant industry's service to the public through education, community engagement and career opportunities.

The Challenge

Interviews were conducted with the intended audience for the Choose Restaurants site and a common issue was not knowing who the site was for. They also struggled to understand what the purpose of the site was and assumed it was supposed to have job postings on it.

The Solution

For the home page, a hero section at the top includes text that clearly states the purpose of the site, followed by a brief description of what the NRAEF's goal is. 5 main types of user personas were identified and the user can easily click on the button of the group that they are a part of.
